Job Responsibilities for the Insurance Verification Specialist :

Verify insurance coverage and eligibility across medical, dental, and behavioral health services

Input and maintain accurate insurance data in EHR and practice management systems; support pre-authorizations and troubleshoot denials

Educate patients on insurance coverage, Good Faith Estimates, and available assistance programs

Partner with front office, billing, and clinical teams to ensure timely claim processing and patient communication

Experience preferred for the Insurance Verification Specialist :

1+ year of experience in insurance verification (multi-specialty experience a plus)

Familiarity with Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance plans

Solid understanding of EHR systems and payer authorization processes

Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
