Job Summary

Lead and manage large custom engineering projects across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, testing, and delivery phases. Support and train team members while contributing to departmental projects and the development of new technologies.

K ey Responsibilities

  • Lead full project lifecycle from pre-order sales support through final customer acceptance, ensuring alignment with standard work procedures.
  • Deliver comprehensive technical documentation and system components, including P&IDs, general arrangements (GAs), electrical / software packages, and turnover documentation.
  • Proactively communicate with internal teams and customers to manage expectations and provide project updates.
  • Drive performance by meeting key project KPIs, including on-time delivery, staying within budget, and adhering to specifications.
  • Manage multiple complex or strategic projects simultaneously.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation system issues during testing phases such as Pre-FAT, FAT, and SAT.
  • Assist and train other team members.
  • Support development and implementation of new technologies within the department.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, management, or related field; graduate degree in business or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in engineering or project management within the life sciences industry, focusing on engineering disciplines including feasibility, design, construction, commissioning, and validation.
  • Proven experience performing equipment testing (FAT, SAT, commissioning, and qualification).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to represent the company in stakeholder and customer-facing situations.
  • Experience managing budgets strictly and effectively.
  • Knowledge of industry guidelines for biopharmaceutical process equipment design, manufacturing, testing, and documentation (e.g., ASME BPE, GAMP, cGMP, ISPE).
  • Ability and willingness to work in multinational and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and domestically up to 25%.

  • Graduate degrees in business or related fields.
  • Extensive experience managing both internal and vendor resources.

  • None specifically required, though familiarity with industry standards and compliance is critical.

  • Practical application of pharmaceutical / biologics regulations.
  • Proficiency in computer applications (Windows, Outlook, MS Office).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a solution-driven mindset.
