General Manager
Sea-Dog, a division of Patrick Industries, is looking to hire a General Manager to support their operations in Everett, WA. The General Manager of Sea-Dog is responsible for overseeing the overall management of manufacturing and distribution operations and the execution of the strategic direction for the business in coordination with the Business Unit Director. This role requires a dedicated leader with extensive experience in manufacturing operations, financial management, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence, ensure product quality, and enhance customer satisfaction while achieving business objectives.
Responsibilities & Duties
Strategic Leadership
- Implement business strategies in coordination with the Business Unit Director aligned with company goals to enhance competitiveness and profitability.
- Lead the team with a commitment to core values of integrity, innovation, and excellence.
Operational Management
Oversee all aspects of manufacturing & distribution operations, including production planning, scheduling, quality assurance, supply chain management, and cost control.Provide tactical, day-to-day leadership to management team and team members to ensure meeting defined business objectives.Ensure efficient workflow and resource allocation to optimize productivity.Financial Oversight
In partnership with the Controller and Business Unit Director, ensure operations and expected results are aligned with the BU's budget and financial objectives.Implement corrective actions and cost saving initiatives as necessary to align to financial objectives.Team Development
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing, collaborative management team.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, team member engagement, and professional development.Customer Support
Ensure customer needs are met through effective communication and service deliverySupply Chain Management
Ensure the implementation of procurement and inventory management strategies to optimize supply chain operations and reduce costs while ensuring timely availability of materials.Safety and Compliance
Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures.Ensure compliance with environmental and occupational health regulations.Lead the monthly Safety Committee meetings with a cross-functional team.Performance Metrics
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational success and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Qualifications and Skills
Undergraduate degree in Business Management, Organizational Leadership, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).Minimum of 8 years of experience in manufacturing or distribution management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within manufacturing, logistics, or related industries.Proven track record of driving operational excellence and achieving financial targets.Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, quality management systems, and supply chain optimization.Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse, cross-functional workforce at all levels.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.Strong problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.Strong accountability and follow-through skills.Flexibility and foresight to balance engagement and business needs.Must be organized, detail-oriented, and possess the ability to manage proprietary information while balancing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Align with Patrick Industries "BETTER Together" mentality by pursuing Balance, Excellence, Trust, Teamwork, Empowerment, and Respect within the organization.Patrick is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
