KAUHALE MANAGER – Oahu (Iwilei Center)

Mental Health Kokua (MHK) is seeking a compassionate, hands-on leader to oversee operations at our Iwilei Center supportive housing community. The Kauhale Manager ensures a safe, recovery-oriented environment, supervises staff, and coordinates services that promote resident stability and wellness.
This role includes direct, hands-on engagement with individuals who have experienced homelessness and are living with severe and persistent mental illnesses. The position requires practical, day-to-day support tailored to complex behavioral health needs.
This s a facility-based leadership position ideal for candidates experienced in residential services, behavioral health, or supportive housing.
Kauhale Manager Responsibilities
Kauhale Manager Qualifications
Required : 3+ years of experience in behavioral health or supportive housing
Preferred : Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, human services, or a related field
Minimum : High school diploma or equivalent with relevant residential or housing experience
Skills : Supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
Certifications : TB, CPR, and First Aid (or ability to obtain)
Other Requirements : Must pass criminal background check and drug screening; Ability to lift 25 lbs and respond to facility needs
