Section Head of Pediatric Neurology

Ochsner Childrens Hospital is seeking a board-certified Child Neurologist to serve as Section Head in New Orleans, LA.  The successful candidate will possess proven leadership, team building, program development and managerial experience. Areas of administrative responsibility will include practice growth and new program development, patient experience, physician recruiting, budgetary performance, productivity, quality, and medical staff management.

The Section of Neurology currently comprises four physicians and two NPs with a fifth neurologist and a third NP starting summer 2025. The section includes faculty who are fellowship-trained in Epilepsy, Neuromuscular Medicine and Headache.  The team collaborates closely with three pediatric neurosurgeons, two of whom are specifically trained in epilepsy surgery and one who is trained in complex spasticity surgery to provide comprehensive care including surgical epilepsy management and neurostimulation devices.  Faculty lead or support multidisciplinary programs for headache, movement disorders, neuromuscular disorders (including gene therapy), spasticity, craniofacial conditions, neonatal neurology, functional neurological disorders and epilepsy (including ketogenic diet).
