Job Overview :
The Technical Service Assistant supports the Service Department by managing product returns, performing assessments and repairs, and ensuring returned units are accurately processed and restored when appropriate. This position also serves as a first point of contact for inbound calls from customers, dealers, representatives, and service technicians, addressing technical questions, parts requests, and general inquiries. In addition, the role may provide cross-departmental support, including production and shipping, to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities :
- Receive, check in, and catalog all returned products.
- Inspect and refurbish returned units to restore them to sellable condition.
- Perform evaluations and repairs for units submitted under warranty.
- Answer, document, and resolve inbound calls regarding technical support, parts, and general service inquiries.
- Collaborate with other departments to support production, shipping, and service needs.
- Utilize software tools to track, report, and manage service activities (experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word a plus)
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Technical aptitude with mechanical and / or electrical troubleshooting preferred.Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.Effective communication skills for customer and internal support.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with CSI 10.0 a plus.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Work Schedule :
Monday – Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM (or as scheduled).
