We are currently seeking a Structural Designer with experience designing structural support steel for conveyors, racking systems, and / or mezzanine floors to join our client’s team in the Troy, MI area. While local candidates are preferred, relocation assistance may be offered for exceptionally qualified individuals .

Position : Structural Designer

Type : Direct Hire

Compensation : Based on experience and education, anticipated between $100,000–$120,000

Ideal candidates will have most (if not all) of the following qualifications :

• Associate degree in Design and Drafting is strongly preferred; equivalent experience or a related degree will be considered
• Hands-on experience in the design of structural support steel for conveyors, racking systems, and / or mezzanines
• Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD for structural steel layouts
• Strong background in creating detailed fabrication drawings for bolted and welded connections
• Familiarity with material take-off calculations , stick drawings, general loading, and basic beam calculations is strongly preferred
• Ability to successfully complete pre-hire requirements including background check, references, education verification, and drug screening
