Their U.S. operation specializes in the design, commissioning, optimization, and lifecycle support of precision testing equipment used across Aerospace, Defense, Aviation, Renewable Energy, and Automotive sectors.
This confidential search supports the rapid expansion of their Engineering and Field Service division. They are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer to support the commissioning, troubleshooting, and international deployment of sophisticated test systems used by major industry partners worldwide.

Troubleshoot system-level engineering challenges across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and controls domains

Serve as the technical authority and point-of-contact during commissioning, acceptance testing, and operational support

Key Responsibilities :
Commissioning & Technical Execution
Lead commissioning of complex test benches and subsystem components
Validate integration of drives, hydraulics, controls, transmissions, and electrical systems
Perform metrological investigations, system diagnostics, and performance optimization
Troubleshooting & Field Leadership
Serve as the on-site technical authority for customers
Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective solutions
Own the complete service lifecycle, including troubleshooting, quoting, and solution deployment
Customer Support & Global Field Engineering
Support operational test rigs across multiple U.S. customer locations
Coordinate commissioning activities with internal engineering and external stakeholders
Manage travel planning, dispatch processes, and field service logistics
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, and Software Engineering teams
Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
Ensure smooth project handover and long-term system performance
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering , or related
6+ years' experience in commissioning, field service, test systems, or special machinery
Strong capability in at least one core domain : mechanical, electrical / electronic, programming
Professional experience with test rigs, industrial machinery, special machine construction, or plant commissioning
Knowledge of PLC programming (Beckhoff TwinCAT and / or Siemens S7 / TIA Portal preferred)
Familiarity with controls, drive technology, hydraulics, or transmission systems
Strong troubleshooting and customer-facing communication skills
Ability to travel up to 60% including extended international stays
Must be able to obtain / maintain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
Preferred Qualifications :
Aerospace, defense, or aviation test bench experience
Field engineering experience with high-complexity machinery
Strong ability to learn deeply technical systems quickly
High accountability, calm under pressure, strong problem-solving orientation
