Overall Purpose :  Assist the Engineering department to provide various engineering support activities.

Responsibilities : Proficient understanding of engineering principles (soil / rock mechanics, steel design, hydraulics / pump networks, ventilation, conveyors, electricity, economics) Excellent computer skills (AutoCAD, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education & Experience :

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mining / Civil / Mechanical) or equivalent experience

Engineer in Training (EIT)

Professional Engineering License (PE)

Experience in underground continuous and longwall mining methods

Experience in project management

Must come out of Coal.

Reports to :  Engineering Manager
