Senior Tax Accountant

Century Group's client is seeking a diligent and highly motivated Sr. Tax Accountant. This role focuses on fulfilling the company's tax compliance and reporting requirements, particularly in the direct tax area. The ideal candidate is a team player with experience in tax return preparation, tax provision, a solid understanding of common tax rules and regulations, and knowledge of accounting principles. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $80,000 to $110,000 per year.

Job Descriptions :

Maintain the master tax filing tracker, correspondence tracker, and payment tracker.

Coordinate and ensure the timely filing of federal, state, and local income tax returns, including reviewing workpapers prepared by external service providers.

Assist in preparing quarterly partnership taxable income projections.

Conduct tax research projects and prepare memos.

Resolve federal, state, and local tax notices and audits.

Identify and implement process improvements for various tax processes.

Requirements :

Ability to multitask and work within tight deadlines.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills and a team player. Ability to work with diverse personalities, tactful, mature, and flexible.

Proactive in asking appropriate questions when faced with difficulties.

Self-starter capable of handling multiple projects with competing priorities with minimal supervision.

Experience :

Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Tax, or a related field.

CPA license preferred.

3+ years of tax experience, including the duties listed above.
