Job Purpose : The ServiceNow Architect is responsible for managing integrations with internal systems, as well as developing and deploying enterprise business solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The ServiceNow architect also assists in overseeing the SNC Governance team and ensures best practice implementation and consistency in cross-team development initiatives. This position will also include Jira integration and development efforts. Role and Responsibilities
- Responsible for assisting current Architect in implementing out of box ServiceNow applications (including ‘last mile’ configurations)
- Familiarity with creating new and supporting existing integrations between ServiceNow and other internal systems (SOAP / REST API, Web Services, XML parsing, etc.)
- Build custom applications as needed by the company and where a solution cannot be met with out of box or customized ServiceNow solutions.
- Responsible for assisting with platform upgrades and peer review of key update sets to production.
- Coordinates with ServiceNow partners as needed for outsourced work.
- Provides development efforts and integration with the current Atlassian Jira environment (training provided as needed).
- Provides support for existing Atlassian environment including Jira administration and development (training provided as needed).
- Administers Scrum / SDLC implementation in ServiceNow
- Defines and enacts standards for implementations in ServiceNow to ensure consistency and supportability of customizations.
- Provides internal training to department level ServiceNow admins and developers.
- Ability to listen to non-technical resources, translate their business requirements into ServiceNow requirements and develop a fully functioning solution
- ServiceNow Implementation experience (Out-of-box Applications and Custom Application Development)
- Very comfortable with Client and Server Side JavaScript (as well as LDAP integrations, HTML, CSS, Apache Jelly, etc.)
- Deep technical knowledge of ServiceNow and familiarity with the ServiceNow GlideRecord API
- Best Practices - ITIL Framework understanding (Incident, Problem & Change Management, etc.)

Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or related field3+ years of ServiceNow administrator or developer experience3+ years software development experience (or scripting in an object oriented scripting language)2+ years experience with API integrationsITIL v2 or v3 Foundation Certification is recommendedMust be able to communicate clearly and competently to technical teams and executive teams.
