Job Description

Wood is currently recruiting for a mid-level Automation Technical Professional with a strong background in the Emerson DeltaV systems to be based at our client in Billings, MT.

The Role

Participate in designing and implementing automation systems for oil & gas and process industry projects, engaging in all project phases from front-end engineering to commissioning. Support site surveys, FATs, SATs, and commissioning activities, while reviewing project schedules and cost estimates. Assist procurement with vendor lists, requisitions, and technical evaluations, and travel to customer locations for project implementation (25%).

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide support for local on-site client activities at client facilities with off-hours call out support if needed. Hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV and DeltaV SIS required. Allen Bradley PLC5 or ControlLogix PLC configuration and programming is a plus. On-site activities will include existing program updates and troubleshooting.

Expected :

Hands-on experience with the Emerson DeltaV system required. Preferable to have additional experience with at least one of the following platforms - Honeywell Experion / TDC DCS or FSC / SM, Yokogawa CENTUM DCS / ProSafe, or ABB 800XA.
