Your role as an Adult Services Manager

As the Adult Services Manager at Allen County Public Library, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the Adult Services Department at our Main Library. Your responsibilities will include managing a dedicated team of staff, guiding them to deliver exceptional customer service that aligns with our commitment to a people-first approach. You will lead various projects aimed at enhancing adult collections and ensuring they meet community needs. Are you the Adult Services Manager we're looking for?

To excel as the Full-Time Adult Services Manager at Allen County Public Library, candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in Library Sciences along with at least four years of professional librarian experience , or an equivalent combination of education and training. A deep understanding of programming for adults, exceptional customer service skills, and expertise in scheduling and collection management are crucial to effectively meet the needs of our diverse community. Moreover, successful candidates will demonstrate strong leadership abilities, including the principles and practices of developing teams, motivating employees, and managing within a collaborative environment.
