Schedule Details :

Nights

8 and 12-hour shifts

Every third weekend rotation

Holiday rotation

Sign-On Bonus : $15,000 for 3rd Shift

Unit Overview :

Join our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit and care for a diverse patient population, including :

Post-operative craniotomy patients

Patients recovering from spinal surgeries

Stroke patients as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program

Our unit offers exposure to cutting-edge neurosurgical techniques and innovative care.

Provide comprehensive, evidence-based patient care

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for safe, compassionate care

Apply critical thinking and clinical judgment for optimal outcomes

Major Responsibilities :

Utilize the nursing process to assess patient needs and develop care plans

Recognize significant changes in patient conditions and act promptly

Enhance patient safety through risk reduction strategies

Coordinate discharge planning with an interdisciplinary team

Evaluate outcomes to continuously improve patient care

Communicate effectively with team members and resolve conflicts

Licensure, Registration, and / or Certification Required :

Registered Nurse license in the practicing state

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association

Education Required :

Completion of an accredited Nursing program

Experience Required :

Typically 1 year of experience in clinical nursing

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required :

Ability to provide holistic patient care

Proficient in critical thinking and decision-making skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent organization and time management abilities

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :

Must frequently sit, stand, walk, and lift

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform sliding transfers

May be exposed to chemicals and communicable diseases

Functional ability to utilize fine motor skills for patient care
