Engage with adult and internal medicine patients in a well-equipped setting with lab and X-ray onsite. Key Details

  • Schedule : Friday 5 : 00 PM to Monday 7 : 00 AM (weekends)
  • Patient Population : Adult
  • Location : Midlothian, VA
  • Stipends : Housing and travel options can be discussed for non-local candidates

    • Job Responsibilities

  • Provide weekend call coverage in a hospital setting
  • Perform procedures such as esophageal dilatation, small bowel biopsy, various GI endoscopies, and liver biopsy
  • Utilize EMR : Epic for patient documentation
  • Participate in both inpatient and some outpatient care as necessary

    • Qualifications

  • Board Certified in Gastroenterology
  • Active VA medical license required
  • Clean malpractice history required for temporary privileges
  • ERCP experience required; EUS experience preferred
  • Up-to-date with flu shot and COVID vaccination highly preferred

    • Working Hours

  • Friday 5 : 00 PM - Monday 7 : 00 AM, covering weekends

    • Skills

  • Proficient in a variety of gastroenterological procedures
  • Experience with EMR systems, preferably Epic
  • Ability to work independently in a high-demand environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
