Position Summary

The Coatings Supervisor is the operational leader for a shift of direct labor work force. This position reports to the Aero Repair Manager who has responsibility for a collective of shifts groups or teams.

The Coatings Supervisor will Plan Organize and Direct (POD) work to ensure a safe working environment and practices maintains the highest quality of product and people and achieve on time schedule attainment.

Reports To : ARM Manager

Position Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize coatings process parameters to achieve consistent high-quality coatings.
• Adjust parameters such as gas flow rates torch power settings and powder feed rates for optimal results.
• Program and adjust 6 axes robot with 2 axes positioner for optimal efficiency of coatings applications.
• Operate and maintain coatings spray equipment including torches feedstock delivery systems and control mechanisms.
• Ensure proper functioning of equipment to achieve reliable and repeatable coatings.
• Ensure that coatings meet required specifications and quality standards.
• Identify and address issues that arise during the coating process such as defects inconsistent deposition or equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain accurate records of process parameters coating specifications quality control results and other relevant data.

Expectations for the Coatings Supervisor include but not limited to :

Evaluate direct reports both formally and informally

Safety all near misses and incident reporting with appropriate escalation as per policy and expectation from manager

Encourage and participate in shop improvement teams. Champion action items.
