Masterbilt Inc. seeks a detail-oriented and highly motivated Accountant to join our team. This role will play a key part in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and supporting decision-making processes across our locations in Indiana, Arizona, and California . Key Responsibilities :

Financial Management & Reporting :

  • Assist with month-end closing activities , including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Prepare financial statements, reports, and dashboards to provide insights into operational performance.
  • Maintain and manage general ledger accounts , ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

Budgeting & Forecasting :

  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process , working with plant leadership to analyze financial data.
  • Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to help drive financial efficiency.
  • Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual financial forecasts.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable :

  • Process vendor invoices, payments, and employee expense reports , ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and assist in collections efforts as needed.
  • Work closely with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to resolve invoicing and payment discrepancies .
  • Inventory & Cost Control :

  • Support inventory management and cost accounting , ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  • Conduct cost analysis for products and manufacturing processes to improve financial efficiency.
  • Assist in the review and reconciliation of cycle counts and inventory adjustments .
  • Compliance & Internal Controls :

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal financial policies .
  • Assist in internal audits and external financial audits , providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Maintain proper internal controls to mitigate financial risks and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration :

  • Work closely with operations, purchasing, and leadership teams to improve financial processes.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support for key business initiatives.
  • Assist in special projects, including process improvements and system enhancements .
  • Requirements

    Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field .
  • 2+ years of accounting experience , preferably in a manufacturing environment .
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements .
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks is highly preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills , including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modeling .
  • Ability to analyze financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills .
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines .
  • Experience with job costing, sales tax, and business insurance is a plus.
