Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : RN Specialty : Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Duration : 15 weeks Shift : PM Hours per Shift : 12 Experience : Minimum 5 years of experience preferred License : Must possess a valid nursing license Certifications : BLS - Basic Life Support Certification PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification Must-Have : PICU and CVPICU experience High proficiency in post-neurosurgery patients, asthmatics, trauma, status epilepticus, cleft lip / palate, craniofacial conditions, and specific medication administration Description : The role requires hands-on experience with generalized respiratory and neuro surgery patients, as well as a robust cardiac care background. Certifications and licenses must remain valid during the first 13 weeks of employment. Flu vaccination is required with no exemptions. A strong skill set is needed across all care areas due to patient acuity and the diverse population of patient diagnoses. Successful completion of orientation for general care and two critical care unit orientations is required. The nurse will be expected to independently initiate standards of nursing practice related to assigned patients. Demonstrated ability to work within a team and collaboratively in a shared leadership environment is essential. This position involves providing staffing support to a variety of units and taking assignments in both general care and critical care units. Assigned units will align with the nurse's skill level. All staff RNs are supported by leadership and report to the Operations Center Manager.
