Local CDL-A Driver (Amazon Intermodal and Dry Van – 4-Day Week)

About the Role :

We’re hiring dependable CDL-A drivers to haul Amazon intermodal containers and dry van trailers in the Chicago metro area. This is a home-daily position with a consistent 4-day workweek, giving you steady income and more time off.

Drivers average 4–5 container / trailer moves per shift, with overtime eligibility based on productivity.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Haul Amazon intermodal containers from rail yards and dry van trailers between local facilities
  • Complete 4–5 trailer / container moves per 10-hour shift
  • Follow DOT safety regulations and company procedures
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain ELD compliance
  • Communicate with dispatch and operations regarding load status Requirements :
  • Valid Class A CDL and active DOT medical card
  • 1+ year of CDL-A driving experience preferred
  • Intermodal and / or Amazon Relay experience is a plus
  • Safe driving record and strong communication skills
  • No TWIC card required

    • Pay and Benefits :

  • 30 / hour base pay (W-2)
  • Overtime pay (1.5x) after 40 hours / week based on performance (e.g., 6+ moves / day)
