LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is currently seeking an individual to join our team as a Quality Assurance Coordinator in Gainesville, FL . This position is responsible for participating in the coordination of a system-wide compliance program to ensure the manufacture of safe, pure and potent blood products.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
Act as a liaison for Corporate Quality Assurance to District OperationsCoordinate all audits, quality initiatives and quality assurance communications as delegated by the Quality Assurance SupervisorWork with the Implementation and Training Coordinators to ensure new technology or process implementation occurs within the expectations of validation or implementation plansAudit district record keeping systems to ensure quality control is conducted according to SOPCoordinate the Supplier Qualification program for the assigned district (critical supply issues, manufacturer notifications, etc.)Coordinate the reporting, investigation and resolution for the Error Management process in the assigned districtAssess the effectiveness of corrective actions taken by field operations in response to audits, reportable events, etc. to monitor quality improvementAssist in the preparation and coordination of external inspectionsOversee external inspection visitsPrepare and present reports on quality indicator tracking and trendingAbility and willingness to travel is essential to this positionQualifications
High school diploma or GEDValid driver's license. Must also meet and maintain LifeSouth driver's eligibility requirementsAbility to work in a variety of physical environmentsAbility to follow complex oral and written instructionsBasic Computer skills and experience with computer programs such as MS office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)Ability to perform audits, review records and observe processesAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formAbility to work independently and handle multiple assignments concurrentlyAbility to effectively participate in a stress-filled and time-critical team environmentAssociate's or Bachelor’s degree preferredPrevious blood banking or regulatory experience preferredWho We Are
