PAY GRADE : Psychologist Intern Salary Schedule
FLSA STATUS : Exempt
POSITION OBJECTIVE :
The job of Psychologist Intern is done for the purpose / s of assisting students who experience physical mental social or emotional difficulties; identifying difficulties and promoting improvement through evaluation intervention and / or consultation; referring and / or coordinating with community service agencies; planning developing and evaluating programs; and establishing appropriate interventions within the school setting.

KNOWLEDGE is required to perform advanced math; review and interpret highly technical information write technical materials and / or speak persuasively to implement desired actions; and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions. Specific knowledge required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job includes : pertinent codes policies regulations and / or laws.
SKILLS : (position requirements at entry) :
SKILLS are required to perform multiple highly complex technical tasks with a need to routinely upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skills required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include : operate standard office equipment; designing interventions.
ABILITY : (position requirements at entry) :
ABILITY is required to schedule activities meetings and / or events; gather collate and / or classify data; and use basic job-related equipment. Flexibility is required to independently work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; work with data utilizing defined but different processes; and operate equipment using defined methods. Ability is also required to work with a significant diversity of individuals and / or groups; work with data of widely varied types and / or purposes; and utilize a variety of job-related working with others independent problem solving is required to analyze issues and create action plans. Problem solving with data requires analysis based on organizational objectives; and problem solving with equipment is limited. Specific abilities required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include : maintain confidentiality; communicate with diverse groups; record keeping.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Positions in this class typically require : reaching standing walking finger dexterity grasping talking hearing seeing and repetitive motions.
Medium Work : Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and / or a negoligible amount of force frequently and / or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and / or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time the job is rated for Light Work.
