A Day in the Life of a Tax Consultant...

As a Tax Consultant at H&R Block, you will receive comprehensive support and training from our expert team, equipping you to succeed. Enjoy the freedom and flexibility that comes with this role, along with potential extra earnings.

  • Conduct engaging tax interviews with clients in-person and through virtual platforms such as video, phone, chat, and email.
  • Prepare accurate and complete tax returns with attention to detail.
  • Drive business growth, enhance client retention, and promote additional products and services.
  • Provide reliable IRS support to our clients.
  • Foster teamwork and collaboration to meet office goals.
  • Advance your tax expertise continuously.

Preferred Qualifications...

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Experience in customer service or a retail environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, supportive setting.
  • Willingness to work 25-35 hours weekly during tax season, with up to 40 hours during peak weeks.

    • What You Bring to Our Team...

  • Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course.
  • Experience in dynamic work environments.
  • Comfortable with various virtual tools, including video, phone, and chat.
  • Strong communication skills across in-person, phone, and written formats.
  • Compliance with all IRS and applicable state requirements.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, or higher.
