Emergency Medical Technician 1

Inova Alexandria Hospital is looking for a dedicated Emergency Medical Technician to join our Emergency Department team. This role will be full time night shift; Monday - Friday, rotating weekends.

EMT-B credential required : Must be active on the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) or possess an active Virginia EMT License.

The Emergency Medical Technician places patients on continuous cardiac monitoring while collecting, documenting and reporting patient vital signs data. Registers patients accurately, efficiently and professionally to ensure database integrity and facilitate claims processing. Requests prior electrocardiograms for Medical Director review, as appropriate, and follows medical standard operating procedures for patient intervention. Provides concise documentation of all procedures and therapies in patients' medical records is expected and performs surgical preparation of wounds according to protocol.

Emergency Medical Technician Job Responsibilities :

Shift : Night Shift

Schedule : Full Time, Three 12 hour shifts weekly

Training : All candidates must be able to attend an initial 6-week training.
