Job Title : Project Architect (Hybrid)
Location : New Haven, CT
We are helping an award-winning firm with growth in their New Haven, CT office.
Job Responsibilities :
Leads projects through all phases, applying demonstrated technical knowledge across a range of project sizes and complexities
Directs teams of varying scale, assigning and coordinating tasks, while reviewing and approving the work of both internal staff and external consultants
Provides final oversight of code compliance reviews, material selections, and technical specifications
Manages the production of construction documents and the coordination of BIM models
Participates in client meetings and serves as a regular point of contact with clients and consultants
Works closely with Project Manager(s) to confirm projects are on track with the work plan; recommends adjustments to staffing or scheduling when corrective action is needed
Fully understands project scope and ensures the team executes responsibilities in the most effective and technically sound way
Promotes design excellence, encouraging staff and consultants to prioritize design quality throughout the process
Introduces and reinforces methods to enhance documentation quality and reduce risk, while mentoring junior staff and setting expectations for accountability
Job Requirements
Need to be local the New Haven area to work in the office 3-days a week
Professional degree in Architecture (Bachelor’s and / or Master’s)
Architectural license or actively pursuing licensure
8+ years of experience with 3 years in Multi-family residential, K-12 and / or Laboratory projects
Knowledgeable and experienced with AHCA requirements
Demonstrated ability to lead design, documentation, and construction administration efforts
Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills
Proficient in Revit
