Accountant
We are seeking an experienced accountant to support the CEO with both personal and professional financial needs. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, trustworthy, and proactive, with strong accounting expertise and the ability to handle sensitive information with the highest level of discretion.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and organized records of personal, professional, and household financial transactions.
- Oversee bill payments, loan and mortgage obligations, insurance premiums, and other recurring expenses to ensure timely settlement.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements regularly.
- Analyze income and expenditures to develop comprehensive budgets and set financial goals.
- Provide regular financial reports and forecasts to support informed decision-making and long-term financial stability.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements, adhering to IRS regulations.
- Prepare and file accurate tax returns, identify eligible deductions and credits, and recommend strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
- Assist in building and maintaining an investment portfolio aligned with financial objectives and risk tolerance.
- Collaborate with financial advisors to ensure optimal asset allocation and tax efficiency.
- Advise on strategies to reduce costs and improve overall financial health.
- Liaise with banks, investment firms, accountants, and other professional advisors as needed.
- Support estate planning and trust administration, coordinating with legal professionals to ensure alignment with long-term objectives.
- Manage the financial aspects of charitable giving, including tax documentation and strategic planning for philanthropic goals.
Essential Skills
3 - 5 years accounting experience; degree or certificate in accounting (CPA preferred).Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP.Strong MS Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, macros, and formulas.Advanced skills in SQL and reporting software; familiarity with accounting software.Strong critical thinking, written and verbal communication skills.Highly detailed and organized.Adaptable and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in reconciliation, accounts payable, financial statement preparation, general ledger management, bank reconciliation, reporting, journal entry, tax return preparation, budgeting, and balance sheet analysis.Work Environment
This position requires working onsite for five days a week, with potential flexibility in the future. The role involves managing the CEO's personal and business financial interests, supporting ideas financially, and helping with rental property finances. The accountant will be part of the CEO's team, working closely with a PA and EA, and acting as an in-house accounting firm. The role includes reconciling bank accounts, managing household expenses, and handling various financial tasks, such as paying bills and managing rental invoices.

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00 / yr.
