This position is for a Lead Sanctions Specialist within our Enterprise Compliance team. The Coinbase Sanctions Advisory team is dedicated to identifying and managing sanctions risks across our global operations and ensuring compliance.

Responsibilities :

Act as a company-wide advisor on sanctions-related risks, providing education and support to various departments to develop effective sanctions controls and rectify any identified weaknesses.

Keep up-to-date on regulatory changes and requirements related to sanctions compliance, ensuring timely implementation across the organization.

Collaborate across departments to address emerging sanctions regulations.

Respond to and advise on complex sanctions issues as an escalation point.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications :

5+ years of experience with US, EU, and / or UK sanctions regulations.

Strong understanding of the crypto economy and experience with at least one blockchain analytics platform.

Ability to analyze sanctions implications for complex business issues and transactions.

Self-motivated, organized, and committed to continuous learning and independent work.

Genuine interest in contributing to the development of innovative products and services within the cryptocurrency industry.

Excellent writing, research, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience in a cryptocurrency exchange or similar crypto-related company.

Hands-on experience with multiple blockchain analytics platforms.

Proficiency in Spanish.

This role requires in-person participation several times a year for team and company-wide offsites. We offer a competitive salary ranging from $117,385 to $138,100 USD, alongside bonus eligibility, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
