Overview / Job Responsibilities

Sev1Tech is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Senior Technical Writer to join our Army Tactical Network IPS team on-site in Aberdeen, MD. In this role, you will be responsible for creating clear and concise documentation for technical processes, products, and systems.

Responsibilities :

Advise, manage, and mentor personnel in the technical documentation function.

Collaborate with engineers and technical professionals to write, edit, and publish various documents (e.g., test plans, test reports, survey reports).

Oversee the in-house production flow of technical publications.

Monitor the flow of all documents from inception to distribution of final copies.

Identify and resolve issues as they arise.

Perform final quality assurance checks on all document deliverables.

Participate in department and company-wide proposal writing projects.

Serve as proposal coordinator for large production efforts when needed.

Apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high-impact assignments.

Plan and lead major technology projects.

Evaluate performance results and recommend significant changes for project growth and success.

May supervise other team members.

Minimum Qualifications :

Must possess a SECRET level security clearance.

Bachelor’s or higher degree in English, Journalism, or a related field from an accredited institution or military school.

At least six (6) years of professional technical writing experience supporting projects of similar scope and complexity.
