Join Our Team as a Quality Manager!

A leading automotive company based in Charlotte, MI, is seeking a Quality Manager to join our dynamic team.

The Quality Manager will report directly to the General Manager and the primary responsibilities are as follows, but not limited to :

Quality System Management : Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements.

Process Oversight : Monitor and improve manufacturing processes to ensure product quality, utilizing tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and SPC.

Team Leadership : Manage and mentor a team of quality engineers, technicians, and inspectors, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Customer Interaction : Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns, ensuring timely resolution of issues and maintaining strong client relationships.

Audits and Compliance : Lead internal and external quality audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

Root Cause Analysis : Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for non-conformances, defects, or customer complaints.

Supplier Quality : Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet quality standards and support supplier development initiatives.

Data Analysis and Reporting : Analyze quality data, generate reports, and present findings to senior management to drive decision-making and process improvements.

Training and Development : Develop and deliver training programs to enhance quality awareness and skills across the organization.

Continuous Improvement : Lead initiatives such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance product quality.

Qualifications

Education : Bachelor’s in Engineering or Quality Management; advanced degree or ASQ CQM / Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.

Technical Skills : Proficient in IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and statistical software.

Regulatory Knowledge : Familiar with ISO standards and automotive regulations.
