Position Summary :

The Occupational Health Department is seeking a Clinical Assistant to support daily clinical operations and ensure efficient coordination of employee health services. This position provides both administrative and clinical support to facilitate smooth workflow and high-quality care within the department.

Responsibilities include :

Supporting the administrative functions of Occupational Health, including scheduling, registration, and documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).

Assisting with clinical flow by preparing exam rooms, escorting employees to and from the clinical area, and ensuring all necessary documentation is available for the visit.

Obtaining and recording employee histories, vital signs, and other clinical data in accordance with departmental protocols.

Assisting providers and nurses with occupational health services such as, drug and alcohol testing, respirator fit testing, audiometry, and medical surveillance exams.

Maintaining equipment, managing inventory and supplies, and ensuring readiness of testing areas.

Collaborating closely with providers, nursing staff, and administrative personnel to support efficient delivery of Occupational Health programs including pre-placement, annual surveillance, and return-to-work evaluations.

The Clinical Assistant plays an integral role in maintaining operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and the overall quality of Occupational Health services delivered to employees across the organization.

REQUIREMENTS : High school graduate or equivalent. Must have the ability to read, write and communicate in English. Two years of general experience as a medical assistant in a patient care or clinical environment preferred; bilingual in English / Spanish preferred;
