Project Manager II

Willdan Performance Engineering, a division of Willdan Group, is seeking a Project Manager II in the CST, MST, or PST time zone. The Project Manager II position supports the planning, coordination, and execution of data center, telecom efficiency, and industrial consulting and construction projects within existing facilities, ensuring alignment among field operations, contractors, and internal teams. This role oversees project schedules, budgets, compliance, and documentation while fostering communication across stakeholders to deliver safe, high-quality, and on-schedule project outcomes in alignment with company and client standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in the transition of projects from sale to mobilization, ensuring continuity and proper handoff of project details.
• Support coordination with Field Operations and project stakeholders to maintain alignment on project schedules and deliverables while following established procedures and protocols.
• Assist in ensuring project compliance with applicable construction and design standards at the national, state, and local levels.
• Monitor project budgets and support adherence to invoicing and approval processes.
• Help maintain accurate documentation and assist in timely submission of project tracking and reporting materials.
• Contribute to the development of project forecasts and track project expenses with guidance from senior staff.
• Coordinate with construction teams to support quality control efforts in accordance with established design standards.
• Assist with the permitting process by working with internal teams, contractors, and agencies as needed.
• Promote and reinforce adherence to company safety standards by project teams and subcontractors.
• Foster positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide regular updates on project progress, budget status, and scheduling to internal / external teams and ensure issues are addressed in a timely and professional manner.
• Help monitor project risks and support mitigation strategies under supervision.
