Position Summary
The Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for oversight of all aspects of inside sales, Parker Store and warehouse operations, including inventory, product handling and personnel management in a friendly, fast-paced team environment. The Assistant Branch Manager position at a HUB is classified as Exempt, as this type of location serves as a central distribution point supporting other branches in the region. A HUB functions as the company's main distribution center, handling both inside and outside sales, supplying multiple locations, and serving walk-in customers.
Primary Duties
Basic Requirements
Must be over the age of 18 to apply. Experience or education in warehousing and management is desired. Excellent written & oral communication and strong relationship building skills required. Detail oriented with solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment. Solid computer skills including use of MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook), with a willingness to learn new software programs. Experience with industrial distribution preferred. Familiarity with industrial and hydraulic hose and fittings, especially Parker Hannifin a plus.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Job requires frequent lifting up to 70 pounds, stooping, reaching above shoulder level, pushing, pulling, constantly walking / standing on cement flooring and climbing ladders as needed. Work environment may vary including : warehouse containing moving equipment, fluctuating temperature and inventory in various storage arrangements, office work, manufacturing, machine shops, agricultural operations, and any other specific business operations of current or potential customers.
