Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Vestibular and Otoneurology, Full-time, Days

Northwestern Neurology has an exciting position available for a nurse practitioner or a physician assistant to join our vestibular and otoneurology clinic that provides care to patients experiencing dizziness or vertigo. This APP provides care to patients with vestibular migraine (VM) benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) persistent postural perceptual dizziness (PPPD) vestibular hypofunction Menieres disease (MD) and many other otoneurological conditions. The APP will work on a multidisciplinary team of two expert otoneurologists a vestibular technician nurse and other clinical support staff to provide comprehensive specialized care for these patients. The APP will learn to perform Frenzel goggle examination treat BPPV at the bedside learn the most up to date medications used to treat migraine and much more.

This position is 100% outpatient

Schedule : M-F days; no nights / weekends / holidays / on-call

• Demonstrates clinical expertise and expanded knowledge through patient care activities which may include diagnosis and management of a wide range of health problems.
• Responsible for health outcome of an assigned patient population.
• Confers with collaborating physician and other health professionals in area of clinical expertise.
• Develops appropriate educational systems for patients families and staff in areas of expertise.
• Mentors graduate students in aspects of advanced practice and patient care.
• Actively participates in quality improvement and / or research pertinent to area of expertise.
