Physical Substation Sr. Technical Lead Engineer

ENTRUST is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physical Substation Sr. Technical Lead Engineer to oversee the design development and implementation of physical substation projects. This role involves leading engineering efforts coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in substation physical design project management and leadership.

Key Responsibilities :

• Sr. Technical Lead manages physical design of high-voltage substations (typically 69kV to 500kV) including layout equipment selection grounding lightning protection and cable routing.
• Develop and review engineering drawings and documents such as general arrangements elevation drawings conduit and cable schedules and bill of materials.
• Coordinate with civil structural protection & control and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes standards (e.g. IEEE NESC NEC) and client requirements.
• Support procurement activities by preparing technical specifications and evaluating vendor proposals.
• Participate in site visits field investigations and construction support as needed.
• Manage project schedules budgets and deliverables to ensure timely and quality completion.
• Interface with clients utilities and regulatory agencies to address technical issues and project requirements.
• Stay current with industry trends technologies and best practices.
