The
PBX OPERATOR / RECEPTIONIST
is for the timely answering and routing of all incoming telephone calls. In addition, functions as the Hospital’s front desk receptionist.
Essential functions
Operate telephone switchboard receiving incoming calls
Use overhead paging, two-way radios, and other communication equipment to relay messages and transfer information
Provide basic information regarding the Hospital to callers and visitors
Announce and relay information concerning fire alarms, disasters, codes blue and other emergencies
Education / Training / Experience
High School Education / GED preferred
Previous PBX experience and clerical experience
preferably in a healthcare / hospital environment
Excellent communication skills including correct grammar and spelling
