We are looking for a skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team in Denver, Colorado, on a contract basis. In this role, you will oversee payroll processes for approximately 2,500–3,000 employees on a bi-weekly schedule, ensuring accuracy and compliance across multi-state and multi-entity operations. This hybrid position requires in-office presence on specific days during payroll cycles and offers a dynamic environment for individuals with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to exceptional service.

Responsibilities :

  • Process payroll for assigned corporate and resort employees, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
  • Provide comprehensive support to employees regarding inquiries about wages, taxes, and deductions.
  • Prepare and maintain employee records within the Workday payroll system.
  • Enter and verify all deduction amounts during payroll runs to ensure accuracy.
  • Generate and analyze payroll reports to validate data integrity.
  • Handle manual payroll checks, including verifying wages, processing stop payments, and reissuing lost checks.
  • Audit payroll reports for benefits-related deductions, prepayments, refunds, and arrears.
  • Collaborate with the benefits team to adjust leave of absence deductions and time-off accruals in Workday.
  • Complete employment verifications for various external agencies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support payroll operations.
  • At least 1 year of experience processing payroll in Workday.
  • Proficiency in handling payroll for multi-state and multi-entity operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage payroll for over 500 employees.
  • Solid understanding of Section 125 benefits taxation and related processes.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel and other Office tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction across all levels.
  • Familiarity with manual payroll processes, including timecard calculations and general ledger postings.
