We are seeking a seasoned Data Scientist to join a high-impact team responsible for developing advanced analytics solutions and deploying machine learning models to optimize operations and inform strategic decision-making. This role combines hands-on data infrastructure work with AI / ML model development and cross-functional collaboration.

You will serve as a technical lead in shaping the organization’s data strategy, maintaining and improving data systems, and delivering innovative solutions that solve complex business problems.

Key Responsibilities

Analytics & Modeling

  • Build, optimize, and deploy machine learning models and algorithms for predictive analytics and decision support
  • Deliver actionable insights using statistical modeling, data mining, and AI
  • Monitor model performance and continuously refine based on new data and feedback

Infrastructure & Systems

  • Maintain, upgrade, and optimize data pipelines and storage systems to ensure data accuracy, security, and scalability
  • Support networks and servers tied to data infrastructure across departments
  • Implement best practices in data security, governance, and compliance
  • Collaboration & Strategy

  • Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Operations, Finance, Marketing) to understand needs and deliver tailored solutions
  • Research and apply new data science techniques to improve efficiency and innovation
  • Mentor junior analysts and serve as a subject matter expert on data-related initiatives
  • Documentation & Support

  • Maintain clear, comprehensive technical documentation of models, systems, and projects
  • Provide advanced support for mission-critical business functions
  • Develop contingency and recovery plans for data infrastructure
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data science, data engineering, or analytics
  • Proficient in Python, SQL, R, and machine learning libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow)
  • Strong understanding of data infrastructure, security, and cloud platforms
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Machine Learning, or related discipline
  • Experience with Databricks, Azure Data Services, and AWS ML tools (e.g., SageMaker)
  • Background in GIS or ESRI-based spatial analytics
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Data Analytics, Azure Data Scientist Associate, or Databricks ML Practitioner
  • Prior experience leading projects or mentoring team members
  • Key Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced statistical modeling and AI / ML development
  • Big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud integration (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Effective communicator across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Strong project and time management skills
