job_description.job_card.job_descriptionAssociates Degree in Computer-Aided Design / Associates degree in technology with a civil specialization, is preferred yet not required Working knowledge in AutoCAD, preferably with Civil 3D- 2019 or current version Detail oriented with high level of accuracy Effective communications and interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain professional relationships Must be flexible to changes in work assignments on short notice and / or on a daily basis as changes occur in project needs Must be able to work Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm, with occasional overtime #LI-JR1
Overview
This position is responsible for providing design support to engineers for site / commercial and residential land development projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and / or revise construction and planning documents as well as exhibits within company standards from redlines for a variety of projects
- Utilize basic AutoCAD functions in daily work
- Understand and learn entry-level Civil 3D functions and complete construction documents
- Ability to follow and implement Pape-Dawson QA / QC and agency checklists into construction documents
- Coordinate and communicate with project team in engineering, production, design and management to meet overall project objectives and deadlines
- Understand and use established company standards for drafting
- Analyze sketches, notes and other input material to determine and plan the best approach to develop and complete drawings
- Inform Project Manager(s) of progress on assigned projects and request work when needed
- Maintain organized work area to allow access of project information by other team members
- Flexible in work assignments and team assignments
