Quality Control Technician / Inspector – Printed Circuit Boards and Electronic Assemblies
Position Summary : We are seeking an experienced Quality Control (QC) Technician to perform detailed inspections and testing on electronic components, sub-assemblies and finished products to ensure they meet established quality standards, engineering specifications and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will ensure products meet standards, support traceability requirements, and collaborate with engineering and production teams to maintain high quality and on-time delivery to identify defects, prevent errors and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Inspect to IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards, including visual and dimensional checks.
- Perform First Article and First Piece inspections.
- Identify, document, and communicate manufacturing defects; work with engineers and operators on resolution.
- Use barcode scanning systems to track assemblies and maintain full product traceability.
- Participate in ongoing IPC / J-STD training and certifications as required.
- Communicate effectively with process engineers, production staff, and supervisors regarding quality issues and corrective actions.
- Ensure timely inspection and release of products to meet production schedules.
- Read, interpret, and understand customer drawings, statements of work, and component documentation.
- Research and verify component packaging types, polarity, and product specifications during inspection.
- Follow all company policies, safety requirements, and 5S standards to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Qualifications :
High School Diploma or GED required.2+ years of PCB / Electronic Assembly inspection or assembly experience.CIS or CIT certification to IPC J-STD-001 required.IPC-A-610 certification preferred with the ability to perform all inspection and assembly verification tasks.Strong ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.Must maintain regular, reliable attendance and meet production deadlines.Other information :
