We are seeking a Permanent Associate specializing in Tax, Energy, and Infrastructure within the Legal industry. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and who possesses a strong understanding of the financial institutions, private equity, joint ventures, SPACs, tax-exempt corporations, and other related areas. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on complex tax matters within the energy and infrastructure sectors, providing tax advice to our clients and helping them navigate the challenging legal landscape.
Responsibilities
As a Permanent Associate - Tax - Energy & Infrastructure, you will be expected to :
1. Provide comprehensive tax advice to clients within the energy and infrastructure sectors, helping them understand and navigate complex tax issues.
2. Work closely with financial institutions, private equity firms, and joint ventures to develop tax-efficient structures and strategies.
3. Advise on the tax implications of SPACs and other innovative financial arrangements.
4. Assist tax-exempt corporations in maintaining their tax-exempt status and complying with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
5. Stay abreast of changes in tax law and policy, particularly as they relate to the energy and infrastructure sectors.
6. Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals to provide a multi-disciplinary approach to solving client issues.
7. Participate in business development efforts, including networking events, seminars, and other outreach activities.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position will have :
1. A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to a state bar.
3. A minimum of 2 years of experience in tax law, with a focus on the energy and infrastructure sectors.
4. Extensive experience working with financial institutions, private equity, joint ventures, SPACs, and tax-exempt corporations.
5. A deep understanding of tax law and policy, particularly as they relate to the energy and infrastructure sectors.
6. Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
7. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. A strong commitment to client service and professional development.
