job_description.job_card.job_descriptionMaster's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited college / university Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) per ASHA guidelines Provides speech-language pathology services including assessment, treatment plan development, implementation, follow-up, and discharge planning. Assists with clinical aspects of the department such as program development, operations, and Performance Improvement. Supervises Speech Language Pathology students and volunteers. Perform comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals. Document patient care, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Participate in patient / family conferences, interdepartmental meetings, and educational programs. Counsel patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and provide education. Assist with coordination and supervision of students and volunteers. Support departmental operations, including staff orientation, patient scheduling, and supervision. Maintain departmental productivity and participate in Performance Improvement activities. Foster professional relationships with medical staff and referral sources. Adapt patient care to age-specific, developmental, cultural, and other needs. Participate in research and educational activities as appropriate. Must have CCC certification and state licensure. Must be comfortable working with both adult and NICU patient populations. BLS certification required. Pre-employment and annual health screenings required.

Work Type : Full-Time
Schedule : Thursday - Monday, 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM (5 days, 8 hours / day)
Patient Type : General medical, stroke, neuro, bedside; mostly adults, some merging with NICU
Required Certification :
- CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) from ASHA
- State licensure as Speech Language Pathologist
- BLS (AHA only)
