We offer an attractive sign-on bonus for eligible full-time positions, including $7500 for Direct Care Respiratory Therapists with one year of experience ($5000 for those with less than one year). Management Accountability
This position does not involve managerial responsibilities and will report to a supervisor, manager, or director.
Minimum Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program approved by the American Medical Association or eligible for licensure in South Carolina, or a senior student graduating in the next 3 months.
Required Certifications / Registrations / Licenses
Must hold a valid South Carolina Respiratory Care Practitioner license or be eligible for licensure, or be a senior student graduating in the next 3 months. BLS certification is required. NBRC credentials must be maintained. Previous employees hired before June 2016 may hold the Certified Respiratory Therapist designation.
Those hired from June 2016 onwards must pass the Therapist Multiple Choice Exam at the Registered Therapist cut score and take the Clinical Simulation Exam within six months of graduation; failure to pass will result in termination.
NRP and PALS certifications are required prior to independent work in the NICU and PICU at the Children's Hospital.
Additional Required Skills and Experience
Able to thrive in a collaborative team environment. Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills are essential.
