Prestigious Hospital is seeking a full-time, team-oriented Certified Medical Physicist (Ph.D or M.S.) to join their regional group of six radiation oncology centers located in the Dallas metroplex . . The successful candidate should have a current ABR certification or in the process of obtaining certification, eligible for a Texas state license for medical physics and have working experience in a clinical environment.
Facilities and Equipment :
The Cancer Center location is a busy practice that provides a full range of radiation therapy procedures, including SRS, SBRT, TBI, TSET, HDR, LDR (prostate seed implants) and radiopharmaceuticals (Xofigo and Lutathera). Equipment in use at this location includes a Varian TrueBeam, 2 Varian Clinacs (Novalis TX and 21iX), GE CT, Bravos HDR afterloader, Mosaiq R&V, Eclipse, iPlan, MME, BrachyVision and VariSeed TPS. The fully staffed team includes 3 Radiation Oncologists, 3 ABR Certified physicists, 3 Certified Medical dosimetrists, 7 Radiation Therapists and 1 Chief Therapist.
This practice site is part of the Dallas region which consists of 6 radiation oncology centers supported by a total of 10 Medical Physicists and 10 Radiation Oncologists. While each center is operationally independent, the physics staff collaborate on special projects and assist each other as needed; coordinated by a regional Chief Physicist. In addition to external beam therapy (3D, IMRT and VMAT), there are active SBRT programs at 5 centers, HDR programs at 5 centers, TBI programs at 2 centers, radiopharmaceuticals at 3 centers, a CyberKnife program at 1 location and a CAMPEP accredited physics residency program based at 1 location.
