Maintenance Worker is under general supervision providing support for the maintenance related needs of the building and grounds.

  • Monday - Friday 6am -2 : 30pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect the property to identify necessary repairs or updates.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs.
  • Assist with ground maintenance tasks, including shoveling walkways and removing trash.
  • Assist with painting and hanging drywall as needed.
  • Maintain an inventory of spare parts based on our most likely needs.
  • Keep maintenance logs.
  • Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping etc.
  • Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc.
  • Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, use of floor scrubber for deep cleaning for the quarterly checklist, wrap machine and dock doors cleaning.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g., ventilation)
  • Check functionality of safety systems (e.g., fire alarm)
  • Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations.
  • Report to a plant or maintenance manager for issues.
  • Repair broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures.
  • Complies with all company rules and safety regulations.
  • Experience / knowledge of lock out tag out procedures.
  • Keeps and maintains maintenance logs and turn in end of shift reports.
  • Loads, unloads, and moves equipment as necessary.
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate with outside contractors on projects.
  • Must be able to comply with company GMP’s and General Health & Safety.
  • Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

    Requirements :

  • Facilities maintenance or carpentry experience (preferred).
  • Specialized experience with plumbing, electrical, or HVAC systems (a plus).
  • EPA certification (a plus).
  • Familiarity with basic hand and power tools.
  • Forklift Experience.
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred but not required.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend, twist, grab, pull, push, reach, walk and sit.
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
