Job Description Overview : The Field Application Engineer (FAE) serves as the primary escalation point for customer-reported issues involving ASUS NUC and Mini PC products, diagnosing and resolving complex technical problems across hardware, software, and system-level interactions. Additionally, the FAE plays a crucial role in our growing, dynamic, and highly focused team responsible for developing new or existing opportunities. The FAE will be required to work with customers from ground level to executive level, manage projects hand-in-hand with internal and external teams, and help grow the business whenever possible. Customer and solution focus are two key factors for this position. The FAE must work with multiple departments to ensure new and existing projects are initiated or maintained in alignment with customer requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- When customers encounter technical issues or performance problems with ASUS NUC or ASUS Mini PC series, FAEs are responsible for diagnosing and resolving these issues
- Ability to work as a highly technical problem solver; understands system architecture, hardware, and software interaction
- Collaboration : Working with Sales, Engineering, Management, and Operation teams to initialize or support ASUS OPBG products
- Attention to detail is a must for projects, which may include many moving parts
- Gathering business and application requirements from the customer, including forward interaction and promotion of ASUS products
- Leading training and education efforts on ASUS and market technology, focused on customer needs and requirements
- Attend industry-related trade shows and joint customer meetings
- Travel may be required; this may involve on-site customer visits, troubleshooting, or trade shows
Knowledge and Skills :

Bachelor’s degree in related field or 3+ years’ equivalent job experienceWork Experience
3+ years of PC or technology-related experience in the fieldFamiliarity with CPU, RAM, SSD, motherboard layouts, and cooling solutionsStrong background and experience with x86-based Windows, Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian), and embedded OS architectureSolid HW system expertise and diagnostics skillsPreferred Qualifications :
