Aerospace experience a plus. 5 yrs. minimum experience, 10+ yrs. preferred) Self-motivation, able to accomplish high level of work. Team player, actively participating in continuous improvement projects with coworkers. Demonstrate high skill level with the desire for continuous learning. Experience working in AS9100 and ISO environment Ability to troubleshoot and edit programs. Must own tools appropriate to the job being performed. Safety glasses required when in manufacturing environment. Hearing protection as needed. Able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams. Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Highly self-motivated and directed. Keen attention to detail. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Hours outside of a normal working day may be required to meet project deadlines or ability to work overtime to support production demand. Sitting for extended periods of time. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other devices. Ability to work onsite, in a non-remote setting.

The position of Machinist-VTL is responsible for the operation, set-up & utilization of all vertical turning lathes (VTL) as assigned to machine parts.
Essential Functions
1. Inspect manufactured components for conformance to specifications
2. Ability to set up and operate vertical turning lathes (VTL)
3. Support for programming, ensuring proper use of programs & tools
4. Ability to work from travelers, blueprints, set up sheets, drawings and / or verbal instructions as well as limited judgment and experience to plan and accomplish goals.
5. Able to use appropriate measuring devices, such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, plug gages, etc.
6. Maintain a clean work area daily as required.
