Our growing, 63-year-old company seeks an Accounts Payable / Payroll Associate. The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of payroll processing and accounts payable experience. In addition, the ideal candidate will have some formal accounting training and good interpersonal skills. The position is full-time and onsite. This is a position with growth potential to take on various accounting, financial and / or human resources responsibilities over time depending on the candidates abilities and interests. Reporting to the Director of Finance and Administration, responsibilities include :

Accounts Payable

• Ensure invoices, purchase orders, and packing slips are properly matched prior to entry into the accounting system.
• Enter invoices into the accounting system, ensuring proper account and job coding.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
• Ensure that invoices are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures.
• Prepare and perform weekly check runs.
• Maintain vendor information in accounting system and update as necessary.
