Candidates should be board certified in Gastroenterology and possess excellent communication skills to work effectively in a hospital environment.

We are seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist to provide hospitalist services in the Kansas City, MO area. This locum tenens role involves 24 / 7 onsite coverage, starting daily at 7 : 00 AM. The physician will be on-site for approximately 8 hours per day, with on-call availability for the remaining hours. (Very Flexible)

The primary responsibilities include performing inpatient consultations, managing acute GI conditions, and providing emergency GI services. Experience with ERCP is a plus but not required.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide inpatient gastroenterology care, including consultations and treatment.

Manage acute GI issues for hospitalized patients.

Perform procedures as needed, such as endoscopies and colonoscopies.

Collaborate with the hospitalist team and other specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Be on-call and respond to any urgent GI issues during non-coverage hours.

Schedule :

24 / 7 onsite coverage

8 hours onsite daily, starting at 7 : 00 AM

Remaining hours on-call from the hospital

Requirements :

Board Certified / Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.

Active Missouri medical license or eligibility to obtain one.

Experience with ERCP is preferred but not required.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a hospital setting and provide urgent, high-quality care.
