Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Health Information Management (HIM) Technician include but are not limited to : inpatient assembly analysis and admissions processing (including sorting proofing and error identification of all reports) in support of the Health Information Management function. The HIM Technician also provides telephone back-up as needed.

Qualifications

Education and Training : High School diploma or its equivalent with specialized training in an approved business secretarial school or college. Prefer specialized training in an approved Health Information Management Program.

Experience : Previous medical record experience in healthcare setting preferred.
