Working in a general practitioner's office is a licensed clinician who practices medicine collaboratively with a supervising physician. Their training is based on the medical model, which focuses on diagnosing and treating the disease.

Key Responsibilities :

• Patient assessment : Take comprehensive medical histories and perform physical examinations for patients across the lifespan.
• Diagnosis and treatment : Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, such as infections, injuries, and conditions like diabetes or high blood pressure.
• Treatment plans : Develop and manage patient treatment plans, often in consultation with the supervising physician.
• Diagnostic tests : Order and interpret laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic studies.
