Job Title : Software Engineer

Salary Range : $80,000 – $100,000 annually depending on experience

About the Role :

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join a well-established company and play a key role in the development, enhancement, and support of custom software systems. This position focuses on building reliable, data-driven applications that support and improve daily business operations. You’ll work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to design and implement software solutions that drive automation, reporting, and operational efficiency. This is a hands-on technical role ideal for a developer with strong C# and SQL skills, a problem-solving mindset, and an interest in supporting enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities :

Design, build, and support custom software applications that align with business goals

Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application bugs and system performance issues

Optimize application performance and implement new tools or methodologies

Provide user support and technical assistance using a structured ticketing system

Develop and manage SQL Server objects (procedures, functions, views)

Create reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)

Analyze data sets to recommend improvements in operations or reporting

Author and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and system specs

Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, including testing and deployment

Accurately estimate project timelines and deliverables

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions

Provide rotating off-hours support as needed and occasional travel to site locations

Qualifications

Education :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

Associate degree with 2+ years of software development experience may be considered

Experience :

2+ years of hands-on experience developing C# applications using object-oriented programming

Experience writing complex T-SQL queries and managing SQL Server databases

Application performance tuning and system troubleshooting experience

Technical Skills :

Proficiency in C# and .NET application development

Strong T-SQL skills and experience with Microsoft SQL Server

Experience using SSRS for reporting

Familiarity with version control and ticketing systems

Certifications :

Not required but certifications in Microsoft technologies or software development are a plus

Soft Skills :

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to clearly communicate technical details to non-technical stakeholders

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities

Customer-focused approach to support and solution delivery
